China Southern to link London and Sanya
Direct flights between Sanya, on Hainan Island, and London, will be available for the first time from July.
China Southern Airlines has revealed plans to serve the route using its Airbus A330-200 aircraft, adding to its existing services at London Heathrow Airport.
The flights will actually originate in Guangzhou, before stopping in Sanya and then flying direct to London.
The route will operate twice every week, offering travellers a wide choice of First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
Therefore, as well as offering travellers the option to fly to Sanya, China Southern will also be adding options for those who wish to travel between London and Guangzhou.
The news comes just days after we revealed that China Southern was offering free upgrades to economy passengers on its services between London and Wuhan.
The airline will be offering Premium Economy seats, which offer more legroom and comfort to passengers on the flights for the same price as Economy ones.
Apparently, travellers should select seats in rows 31 to 36 to benefit from the offer.
