East Meets West: Taking Flight theatre festival lands in London

After a sell-out run in London last year, Taking Flight theatre festival is coming back for an encore! Catherine from East Meets West caught up with actor-turned-festival founder Michelle Yim and playwright Samuel Daram, whose award-winning new play Taylor Swift’s Dog will hit the London stage on 3rd and 4th June.

Intrigued by that title? Here’s a little more about the play:

Yazmina wants to become a writer and Jia Zhang is a literary agent on the lookout for the next big thing, but just who is going to be the new JK Rowling? And what has Taylor Swift’s Dog got to do with it? An insightful satire into the politics and prejudices of publishing.
