Lenovo is China’s most influential global brand
Lenovo has been revealed as the most influential Chinese brand according to the BrandZ Top 50 Chinese Global Brand Builders Report.
It places the electronics firm in first position, above Huawei in second place and Alibaba in third.
Indeed, Air China is the only brand in the top five places not to be an electronics or e-commerce firm, with Xiaomi in fourth position.
The phenomenal international growth of Chinese brands shows no signs of slowing.
When Brand Finance’s Global 500 rankings were published in February, every single one of the largest climbers was Chinese.
China Construction Bank climbed by three places, with a calculated annual brand growth of some 37 percent, Alibaba climbed ten positions, with a whopping 58 percent growth, and China Mobile climbed two positions, growing its brand by 14 percent.
Brand Finance CEO David Haigh, said: ”Brands like Huawei, Ping An, State Grid, Evergrande, ICBC, Yili, Haval, Wuliangye, and many others are now being recognised worldwide as quality brands. We expect to see this develop rapidly in more and more sectors.”
