New Oman shipping service to boost trade with China and UK
A new express shipping service for the people of Oman, named ‘Matjar’ is set to be expanded to cover China and the UK.
That’s according to the Times of Oman, who report that teething problems with the existing Matjar to the USA are being ironed out.
Expansion to China and the UK will allow people to buy from traders in those countries more efficiently, and receive goods more quickly.
What’s more, it is hoped that such a service would also bring more Omani products to partners in China and the UK.
Oman is far from the only country wishing to increase trade with China at the moment.
Indeed, we recently reported that Cyprus could double its bilateral trade with China to some $1 billion dollars a year.
That’s according to Chinese ambassador to the country Huang Xingyuan.
Furthermore, just days earlier, Austrian Economy Minister Margarete Schramboeck had revealed the ambition of her country’s government to become a ‘bridge’ between China and Europe.
The proposals come after trade between Austria and China grew by over ten percent last year, with both countries seeing plenty of opportunity for further development in the future.
