Yet more mobile advances from Chinese smartphone maker Huawei?

Huawei, the international technology giant, have released the name of their flagship new handset ahead of the Mobile World Congress 2018.

The premium device, named the P20 is expected to have three lenses on the back. A teaser video with the words “See More With AI” was released earlier today. This could tie in with a video released by Huawei earlier in the week.

The earlier video featured the RoadReader project which the company say aims to “push the boundaries of object recognition technology and puts the learning capabilities, speed and performance of its AI-powered devices to the test”.

Huawei say the project is taking advantage of the AI capabilities already in the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. The device uses AI to automatically recognise objects like cats, dogs, food, and other objects, to help people take pictures like a pro. Could the tagline of the P20 video be hinting that the device will have a tie in with driverless vehicles?

Internet rumours suggests the P20 will have a longer screen, with a smaller bezel. But keep checking back and we’ll bring you the latest, as it happens.
