What Happened
Wizz Air has introduced WIZZ Link, a new platform designed to streamline the travel planning and booking process for holidaymakers. Developed in collaboration with travel technology firm Dohop, the platform allows passengers to arrange journeys involving multiple flights in a single transaction, significantly enhancing the travel experience.
Why It Matters
The launch of WIZZ Link opens up approximately 8,000 new route options across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. This service aims to alleviate the stress associated with booking individual flights, which can often take holidaymakers up to five hours of research. By consolidating bookings through major connection hubs such as Budapest, London, and Rome, Wizz Air seeks to provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience for travelers.
What’s Next
In addition to simplifying bookings, WIZZ Link features ConnectSure, a protection mechanism that assists customers in the event of delays, cancellations, or missed connections. Wizz Air is encouraging travelers to utilize this new service to avoid complications often faced when booking through online travel agencies. Furthermore, the airline has issued a warning to over 1.4 million British passport holders regarding impending passport expirations, urging them to check their document validity ahead of the summer travel season.
