This event took place at CrossFit Black Edition in Cascais, Portugal, where elite athletes gathered to tackle one of the most challenging workouts of the season. The workout consists of a series of movements designed to test strength, endurance, and skill, including overhead walking lunges, dumbbell snatches, pull-ups, chest-to-bar pull-ups, and ring muscle-ups.
Lucy Campbell, Aimee Cringle, and Mirjam von Rohr were among the first to perform the workout immediately after its announcement. Campbell, who was in second place for most of the workout, managed to secure victory in the final moments, showcasing her competitive spirit and determination.
The time cap for the workout is set at 15 minutes, a limit that has proven to be a significant challenge for many competitors. The first week of the Open saw numerous elite athletes struggling to complete all exercises within this timeframe, emphasizing the workout’s difficulty.
The weights for the dumbbell snatches are 35 lb (15 kg) for women and 50 lb (22.5 kg) for men, adding to the intensity of the workout. Competitors must complete three rounds of 80-foot overhead walking lunges and alternating dumbbell snatches, followed by a series of pull-ups and muscle-ups.
The deadline for video submissions for the CrossFit Open Workout 26.2 is March 9, 2026, at 5 p.m. PT. Only the top 25% of performers across the three CrossFit Open workouts will qualify for the Quarterfinals, making each performance critical for athletes aiming to advance.
As the competition progresses, anticipation builds for the next workout. Open Workout 26.3 is set to be announced on March 12, 2026, promising to continue the excitement and challenge of the CrossFit Open.
