New additions to the cast include Xolo Maridueña, who will portray Portgas D. Ace, and Cole Escola, who will take on the role of Bon Clay. This expansion of the cast reflects the show’s commitment to bringing beloved characters from the manga to life.
The second season consisted of 16 episodes and received critical acclaim, achieving a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from critics and a 95% audience score. Critics have praised the series for its impressive level-up in storytelling and production quality, with one noting, “Even after an excellent first season, One Piece Season 2 feels like a wildly impressive level-up in many respects.”

Season 3 is expected to premiere between mid-to-late 2027 or early 2028, although specific details remain unconfirmed. The anticipation surrounding the series continues to grow as production unfolds.
