Blue Monday news means Budget airlines have a new radio competitor
On officially the most the most depressing day of the year, Sino Digital Media, owner of London’s Panda Radio has some good news to announce; a brand-new, Brexit-breaking advertising model for companies dealing with tightened budgets and uncertainties surrounding Brexit.
Starting this month and similar to the way seats are priced by low cost airlines, Panda Radio will be allocating its airtime in the same way with 10% of its airtime priced at 99p per 30 second spot. Other seats, sorry airtime, will be available at the following prices from £1.29 up to £6.99. Each price band will have a fixed number of slots. So, once they are gone, they’re gone.
Mark Dodd, CEO of Panda radio says “Since we launched Panda Radio last year, we have seen constant growth in audiences on radio, online and across our social media platforms. It’s a difficult time for business at present but with this innovative model for advertisers, we hope to increase our advertiser base and make advertising on our media, as easy as buying an EasyJet ticket! You never know, they might follow suit and copy our model to charge their advertisers?
