The summer 2019 collection is filled with a range of blue hues making up the floral and tie-dye designs. Turquoise, pastel blue, deep blue, and neutral blues are the main focus of the collection.
It is very clear that athletic and urban styles have inspired this latest collection, boiler-suit style jumpsuits make an appearance as do oversized t-shirts and form-fitting lycra bodysuits.
Feminine cuts are also prominent in the floaty, high neck dresses with long sleeves, lace detailing and ruffles.
McCartney has positioned her brand as being one that works for everyone, not for people of a certain gender. “For me, it’s always been about equality between men and women,” she said.
“Our brand is about allowing someone to be confident in themselves, whoever they are.”
It has been a big year for Stella McCartney who regained control over her fashion empire back in March.
She bought out the 50 percent share that Kering, the luxury brand she was partnered with, had over the company for seventeen years.
McCartney said: “I look forward to the next chapter of my life and what this brand and our team can achieve in the future.”
Another British woman to grace the Paris Fashion Week 2018 was Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
She took to the runway for the L’Oreal Paris Show in a mid-length silver sequin off-the-shoulder dress. Her thigh-high leather stilettos have gained the attention of the global fashion community who are applauding how amazing she looks.
Cheryl was joined on the runway by other well-known women such as Eva Longoria, Winnie Harlow, Elle Fanning, and Doutzen Kroes, who are also being celebrated for their performances on the stage.
Two days into the Paris Fashion Week 2018, it is obvious that it is British designers and celebrities who are stealing the show this year.
