Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden welcomed their third child, Nautas Madden, on May 4, 2026. This surprise announcement comes just a few months after Diaz’s much-anticipated return to acting.
Nautas, whose name means ‘sailor’ or ‘navigator’, joins siblings Raddix and Cardinal, both born via surrogacy. The couple has been quite open about their journey through infertility before choosing this path to expand their family.
Diaz, now 53, took a decade-long break from Hollywood starting in 2014. During that time, she focused on building her family with Madden, who is 47. They married in 2015 and welcomed Raddix in December 2019 and Cardinal in March 2024.
After stepping back from the spotlight, Diaz made her Hollywood comeback in the Netflix film Back in Action, released in January 2025. She also stars alongside Keanu Reeves in the recently released movie Outcome, which debuted in April 2026.
Cameron has expressed how being a mother is the best part of her life. “I love being a mother,” she shared. “I’m so grateful and so happy.” Her husband Benji echoed this sentiment when he announced the birth on Instagram: “Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED to announce the birth of our third Child.”
But this new addition isn’t just another milestone; it feels monumental for them. A source close to the couple noted that they went through so much to reach this point — Cameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle.
The couple’s journey reflects broader themes within Hollywood—how celebrity parents navigate family life amidst public scrutiny. As they embrace this new chapter with Nautas, fans are eager to see how this will influence Cameron’s career moving forward.
