Known for his emotional depth, Carlos believes in the importance of expressing feelings, particularly for men. “I’m just an emotional person. I think we should all be able to express our emotions freely, whether you’re a man or a woman – especially men. Men need to cry more,” he stated, emphasizing the need for emotional vulnerability in a traditionally stoic society.
As a professional dancer, Carlos has built strong relationships within the industry, knowing judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse for over two decades. Their support has been invaluable throughout his career, and he often reflects on the influence of his mother, whom he describes as a strong and supportive figure in his life.
Looking ahead, Carlos is not resting on his laurels. He has plans for a one-man show that will combine his love for singing and dancing, showcasing his multifaceted talent. Additionally, he is set to embark on a tour called ‘Reborn’ with fellow dancer Amy Dowden in 2026. “Amy has been a tremendous source of inspiration to me. She’s endured so much regarding her health, yet returns even stronger each time,” Carlos expressed, highlighting the resilience they both share.
