A number of Chinese airlines have launched new routes to London this year, with the latest announcements from Air China and China Eastern adding further connections.
From December, there’ll be another link between London and Shanghai after China Eastern revealed plans to serve Gatwick airport three times a week using Airbus A330 aircraft.
The carrier already serves London Heathrow airport from Shanghai Pu Dong.
Meanwhile, Air China has announced that it will add three flights a week between London and Beijing, bringing its total number of weekly services on the route to 17.
In July, direct flights between Sanya, on Hainan Island, and London became available for the first time.
China Southern Airlines now serves that route using its Airbus A330-200 aircraft, adding to its existing services at London Heathrow Airport.
The flights actually originate in Guangzhou, before stopping in Sanya and then flying direct to London.
As a bonus for customers, China Southern is offering free upgrades to economy passengers on its services between London and Wuhan.
The airline will be offering Premium Economy seats, which offer more legroom and comfort to passengers on the flights for the same price as Economy ones.
Apparently, travellers should select seats in rows 31 to 36 to benefit from the offer.
