Chinese social media shocked by human heads and horror on the Gucci catwalk
We have a sneaking suspicion that creative Director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele, has watched one too many American Horror Story episodes.
Gucci shocked the fashion world earlier this week, as the brand unveiled its AW18 collection in a very unusual space: a hospital operating theatre in Milan. The madness didn’t stop there, with models carrying fake human heads designed after their own faces, along with baby dragons and iguanas. Some models had also been given a third eye. The fashion show, titled Cyborg was inspired by an essay written by Donna Haraway in 1984.
It was mixed reviews from fashionistas in China, who took to social media forums to share their comments. While some applauded the high-end technologies and innovation, others were shocked by the horror element.
