Chris Kamara Pops In To Chat To Gerry & Dave

We’re lucky at Panda Radio that we get to chat to some top quality guests. Over the years we’ve spoken to everyone from Prince Charles all the way down to Kerry Katona’s-plumbers-friends-wife-twice-removed.

Sometimes you can take it for granted some of the lovely people we’ve got to chat to. However, every now and then someone really stands out as a really special guest.

That’s exactly what happened when we got to interview the legend that is Chris Kamara.

Here he is interviewing some kind of wooly mammal

Who Is Chris Kamara?

If you don’t know Chris Kamara, where have you been? Armchair pundits know him as a regular pundit for Sky Sports. Footy fans might know him for his career from 1974 – 2012 for people like Portsmouth, Leeds & Sheffield United. However, pretty much everyone knows him for infamously missing a sending off while on Soccer Saturday. If you haven’t seen it already, do yourself a favour and check this out.

What Was He Popping In To Chat About?

Chris is very open about his drinking habits. He likes a drink, but sometimes those pints add up. 6.7 million admit they’re privy to habitual drinking, and 3.5 drink more than 14 units a week.

From the beers at home after work, to the bottle of wine finished on the couch in front of the telly; drinking habits can become a default. Blokes often don’t realise how much they’ve actually put away in a week, or how it might be impacting their health.

Chris Kamara Dressed As An Egg

Why?

If you’re still sceptical and don’t see the benefit of getting rid of the odd mid-week tipple then that’s understandable. Chris was pretty clear that he wasn’t giving up.

What are the benefits of giving up though?

Top be honest, there are quite a few. Perhaps the best is that you save a bit of cash. Think about how much you’d spend on the average night out in the pub – it all adds up.

Of course, there are things that you should be more excited about like the health benefits. These range from reducing blood pressure and keeping a healthy heart and liver, to reducing the risk of cancer, anxiety and stress. Not bad really when you think about it.

In the short term it can help you sleep better and even lose a couple of notches on your belt. It’s not that surprising when you think about it, there are loads of calories in booze and you cut that out, losing weight will be much easier.
