We love a cheeky interview. By which we mean we love an interview that’s cheeky. Well, if you feel the same then look no further.
With a smirk and a wry sense of humour, Yvette is such a laugh. It’s no wonder that she was the youngest presenter on Blue Peter aged 18. In a matter of weeks Yvette found herself in at the deep-end, training with the Moscow State Circus for an acrobatics display. Everyone loved her, including the dog Bonnie – a beautiful female golden retriever.
Since then Yvette has gone on to have a wonderful and varied career. After five years at Blue Peter she went on to present the ITV Saturday show What’s Up Doc? She even won the coveted SOS Award for the Most Popular Woman on Television, in a year when Cilla Black, Victoria Wood and Kylie Minogue were all up for the prize.
However, what we all love and know her from is Most Haunted. Having been in TV most of her life, she turned her hand to production. Not a one for making things easy, she went into business with her husband Karl, a cameraman and producer.
The worldwide success it has enjoyed has made her a household name, and not only in The UK. Most Haunted is in over 100 territories including Europe, Canada, Australia and the US.
It’s safe to say that Yvette knows a thing or 2 about ghosts. Even some of the weirder stuff. For example, you have to legally say if you think your house is haunted and you want to sell it! Plus, ghosts use up more electricity!
There was a lot to ask her and although we knew it was going to be a good one, we never knew how much fun we were going to have. Just take a listen.
