Gerry & Dave Meet George Galloway

We’ve been lucky enough to interview some incredible people. We’ve also interview some scary people as well (Janet Street-Porter, Ross Kemp & Julian Clary…not to name any!). But Gerry was a wee bit scared to interview George Galloway.

You might be wondering why. Well, when we began looking into his past George has done some incredible and formidable things.

He joined the Labour Party aged just 13 and by the age of 26 I became the youngest ever Chairman of the Labour Party in Scotland. Between 1987 and 2015, with a gap in 2010–12, he represented four constituencies as a Member of Parliament, elected as a candidate for the Labour Party and later the Respect Party.

he was even stood for the London constituency of Bethnal Green and Bow and served for one parliamentary term. He has even taken on the US senate and won.

So, we were nervous. Because, let’s face it, Gerry & Dave don’t really know much. If things got all political they would both be well out of their depth.

But, it didn’t. In fact, it was nothing but funny, fascinating and interesting. George spoke all about his upcoming film, his relationship with Tony Blair and his Scottish roots.

You might’ve known he was up for a laugh. Remember that time in Celebrity Big Brother when he mimed licking imaginary milk, whilst pretending to be a cat, from the cupped hands of Rula Lenska.

He was nothing but charming and told us all about his past projects and some exciting ones that he’s got coming up. It’s well worth a listen, give it a click below.
