We love celebrity interviews. Nothing warms the cockles of our hearts more than welcoming someone famous into the Panda Studios. We’ve talked to everyone from actors to athletes. Some of them have been formiddable (Ross Kemp for example!). However it’s very rare that Gerry gets flustered, yet that’s exactly what happened when he interviewed Janet Street Porter.
No one knows more about media than Janet. She’s been a controller of BBC 2 an editor of the Evening Standard and of The Independent on Sunday as well as numerous different jobs in-between. So, she ain’t no newbie to this rodeo!
What you might not realise is that she’s released 7 books! 2 of which focus on walking, which is something that’s she’s really keen on as she infamously likes getting back to nature and going rambling.
These skills were no doubt useful when she was on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here where she came fourth after Fran Cosgrave, former Royal Butler Paul Burrell & Joe Pasquale.
There was a lot to cover and not much time. So Gerry & Dave had the formidable task of going toe-to-toe with the bad-girl of TV the big JSP.
