Divorce Finalized After Nearly Two Decades
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have ended their marriage in 2025 after nearly 20 years together. Kidman filed for divorce in September 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who first met in 2005 and married in 2006, share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.
The divorce was finalized in January 2026, with Kidman being granted primary custody of their daughters. According to the agreed parenting plan, the children will spend 306 days of the year with their mother.
In a statement following the divorce, Kidman expressed her commitment to her family, stating, “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.” She emphasized her focus on her daughters, saying, “Right now is not the time for me to do that; I’ve got to take care of these kids.”
Kidman, who was previously married to Tom Cruise and has adopted children with him, has reiterated her intention to prioritize her family during this transition. She remarked, “I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” highlighting her resolve to maintain a positive environment for her children.
The couple’s long-standing relationship has been a significant part of their public personas, and their separation marks a notable shift in the entertainment landscape. As they navigate this new chapter, both Urban and Kidman are expected to continue focusing on their respective careers while co-parenting their daughters.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further developments in their personal lives or future collaborations. However, the emphasis on family and co-parenting appears to be a priority for both parties as they move forward.
