Newcastle United has secured a landmark £6 million-a-year sponsorship deal with KNOX Hydration, a South African sports drinks company. This three-year agreement, totaling £18 million, will see KNOX’s branding featured on the shirt sleeve of Newcastle’s training kits, starting from July 1, 2026.
The Darsley Park training ground will officially be renamed The KNOX, marking the first major commercial deal under Chief Executive David Hopkinson. “We are thrilled to welcome KNOX Hydration as a world-class partner,” Hopkinson stated, emphasizing the partnership’s potential to enhance both performance and community support.
This collaboration comes at a time when Newcastle’s commercial revenue has surged, increasing by 44% to £120.1 million for the 2024-25 financial year, with a total turnover of £335.3 million. The club is actively seeking a front-of-training-wear sponsor to further boost its commercial strategy.
Hopkinson added, “This isn’t just a branding exercise; it’s a performance-led partnership that will also support our community.” The partnership is expected to provide KNOX Hydration’s products across all levels of the club, enhancing player performance and fan engagement.
John Schaefer from KNOX Hydration expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We’re excited to grow together and be part of that journey both on and off the pitch.” He highlighted the importance of Newcastle’s dedicated fan base and the strong sense of community that surrounds the club, making this partnership particularly meaningful.
This sponsorship marks a significant step in Newcastle United’s ongoing efforts to increase its commercial revenue and strengthen its brand presence in the sports industry. As the club continues to evolve, observers are eager to see how this partnership will unfold and its impact on both the team and its supporters.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional initiatives that may arise from this partnership, but the excitement surrounding KNOX Hydration’s involvement is palpable. The future looks promising as Newcastle United aims to solidify its position in the competitive landscape of football.
