Nearly 21 years after the disappearance of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian, detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have made two significant arrests. On February 25, 2023, a 42-year-old man was arrested in Scotland, while a 40-year-old woman was detained in Bangor, both on suspicion of murder, assisting offenders, withholding information, and preventing a lawful and decent burial.

Lisa Dorrian was last seen alive on February 27, 2005, after attending a party at Ballyhalbert Caravan Park in County Down. Despite extensive searches and ongoing campaigns by her family, her body has never been found. The recent arrests come just days before the 21st anniversary of her disappearance, highlighting the enduring impact of this case on her family and the community. Detective Chief Inspector Kerrie Foreman emphasized the emotional toll on Dorrian’s family, stating, “That’s 21 years of torture for a loving family.”
