myLotus in China fertility expansion
Concepta PLC, the British company behind a leading fertility monitoring system, has raised funds to help expand in China.
myLotus is a dual purpose monitoring system to help improve chances of natural conception.
According to the manufacturer, it can detect the actual concentration of the hormones in a woman’s urine sample allowing detailed analysis into issues with ovulation and fertility that aren’t available with traditional ovulation tests on the market.
This kind of data highlights the key dates in the cycle when the woman is the most fertile, improving chances of conception as well as potential areas where the woman can seek specialised medical advice.
It will now be available to over two million women every year in Hebei, Shanghai, Beijing, Shangdong, Henan and Liaoning, following the signing of distribution agreements.
A new share release has helped to fund this expansion, with 50 million new ordinary shares available priced at 4p.
The release was oversubscribed and raised some £2 million.
The money will also be used to help fund the expansion of myLotus in key European markets, including Germany and the UK.
