What is the latest on the National Lottery?

The National Lottery’s EuroMillions draw on March 10, 2026, raises the question: how significant is the £181 million rollover jackpot for players and communities alike? The answer is that it represents not only a life-changing opportunity for ticket holders but also a vital source of funding for community projects.

In this draw, one UK millionaire is guaranteed through the UK Millionaire Maker, adding to the excitement for participants. To win the EuroMillions, ticket holders must match all five main numbers and the two Lucky Stars, with the winning numbers for this draw being 12, 14, 27, 44, 50, and the Lucky Stars 4 and 12.

Additionally, the Thunderball numbers for the same date are 10, 22, 23, 29, 30, with the Thunderball being 12, offering another chance for significant winnings.

Beyond the immediate thrill of the draw, the National Lottery continues to play a crucial role in funding community initiatives. Recently, Ushaw Historic House received £400,000 in funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England, with £250,000 coming from the Heritage Fund and £150,000 from Historic England. Lucy Jenkins, Co-CEO at Ushaw, remarked, “These grants from The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England are a powerful vote of confidence in Ushaw’s journey to date and in our ambitions for the future.”

The National Lottery has been supporting the grassroots music scene since 2021, with initiatives like the Everywhere At Once festival, scheduled for June 26-28, 2026. This festival will see participation from over 500 grassroots music venues, aiming to celebrate the music ecosystem at the community level. Mark Davyd, CEO of Music Venue Trust, stated, “Thanks to the support from The National Lottery, Everywhere At Once can pair visibility with meaningful, practical support, putting real investment directly into venues while amplifying their collective voice.”

Alastair Ruxton, Chief Impact Officer at Allwyn, emphasized the importance of National Lottery funding, saying, “National Lottery funding is the cornerstone of the arts across the country and, because of our players, projects and venues – both large and small – can continue to play a role in each and every community.”

As the National Lottery continues to facilitate significant funding for various projects, the impact on local communities remains profound. The excitement surrounding the EuroMillions draw and the ongoing support for community initiatives highlight the dual role of the National Lottery in providing both entertainment and essential funding.
