Major Win in Gosport
Sharon Healy and Chris Smith have won £400,000 in the People’s Postcode Lottery Millionaire Street prize, announced on March 9, 2026, in Gosport.
Healy purchased two tickets, effectively doubling their prize to £400,000. This significant win not only brings joy to the couple but also supports local charities.
Charitable Contributions
A portion of the winnings will be donated to Veterans Outreach Support, receiving £60,000, and Oarsome Chance in Gosport, which will benefit from £80,000. These contributions highlight the ongoing commitment of the People’s Postcode Lottery to support community initiatives.
Mary’s Meals, a charity that has received over £7 million in funding from People’s Postcode Lottery players, serves daily meals to more than three million children worldwide. The partnership between the lottery and Mary’s Meals has lasted over a decade, and to date, the charity has served more than 39 million meals.
Gemma Love, a representative from Mary’s Meals, expressed gratitude for the support, stating, “We are incredibly grateful to People’s Postcode Lottery players in Dumfries and Galloway, whose ongoing support is helping us reach more children than ever before with a daily school meal that encourages learning, brings hope and changes lives.”
Additionally, the impact of school meals is echoed by children like Efigénia, who noted, “With school meals, I feel good because even with a lack of food at home, here at school I have a meal and I can study.”
Looking Ahead
Daily prize announcements for March’s Postcode draws will continue through April 3, providing further opportunities for participants to win.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact final total of the couple’s charitable donations and the precise allocation of the £400,000 by Healy and Smith. Furthermore, the future allocation of the £7 million raised for Mary’s Meals has not been disclosed, and there is no confirmed schedule for further announcements regarding these funds.
