Rachel Kerr, a 31-year-old British travel influencer, was reported missing in Morocco after checking out of her hotel. She was last seen leaving the SMART Nightclub in Agadir around 5am on April 25. Rachel’s phone was turned off after leaving the resort, and she had not been heard from since.
Her family expressed extreme concern for her welfare as they could not reach her. Claire Hill, her cousin, took to Facebook to share the news: “My cousin Rachel Kerr, 31, is missing in Agadir, Morocco.” The plea for information resonated widely as friends and followers rallied to help.
Fortunately, the situation took a positive turn. Rachel has now been found safe and is in the care of her family. Claire shared an update saying, “Rachel has now been traced and is safe in the care of family. Thank you to those who provided information and support.” Her brother Peter added his gratitude, stating, “Rachel has now been found and is with her brother. Thanks to everyone who shared the post.”
Rachel was in Morocco for a work trip and had been staying at the Caribbean Village hotel. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) is supporting Rachel’s family during this challenging time.
While the relief is palpable among her loved ones and followers, questions remain about the exact circumstances of Rachel’s disappearance. Officials have not disclosed how she went missing or what transpired during that time.
