The alarming find was reported to the police by Jordan Griffiths, whose girlfriend initially stumbled upon the heavy bag, thinking it might be filled with coins. “I could not believe my eyes. There was a handgun in the front pocket and a submachine gun in the main part of the bag,” Griffiths recounted, emphasizing the shock of the situation.
In response to the incident, five officers from the Metropolitan Police have been temporarily suspended from frontline duties while an investigation is underway.
