This initiative is part of the Riverside Remembered project, which aims to collect personal stories and experiences related to the shopping centre ahead of a special exhibition scheduled for January 2027 at the Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery.

The Riverside Remembered project seeks to capture the social history of the Riverside Centre, highlighting significant events such as the high-profile reopening led by actor Ken Morley. During this event, Morley participated in a supermarket sweep, signed autographs, and officially reopened the centre by cutting a ribbon, culminating in the release of 3,000 balloons. The project is supported by the Shrewsbury Big Town Plan Partnership (SBTPP), which aims to document both major events and everyday experiences of the centre.
