Sky One Channel Makes a Comeback After Six Years: What You Need to Know
Sky One Channel Returns to TV
Sky One is back on-air after a six-year absence, officially launching on February 24, 2026. The channel, which first debuted 32 years ago, was retired in September 2021 and has now returned for subscribers of the Ultimate TV bundle, which starts at £22 per month.
Importance of the Return
The revival of Sky One is significant as it consolidates popular comedy and entertainment programming under one channel, channel 106. New shows such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby will air alongside beloved series like Rob & Romesh Vs. and The Paper. The channel aims to provide a mix of new content and fan-favorite shows, enhancing the viewing experience for subscribers.
Future Developments
Sky has announced that the Ultimate TV bundle will be updated in the coming weeks to include subscriptions to five standalone streaming services, including Disney+ and HBO Max, at no additional cost. However, viewers who subscribe to the more basic Sky TV Essentials package will not have access to Sky One or the new streaming services. Additionally, Sky One will be the home for Saturday Night Live UK, set to premiere on March 21, 2026.
