Finn Allen made history by scoring an unbeaten 100 runs off just 33 balls, marking the fastest century in T20 World Cup history. His explosive innings was complemented by Tim Seifert, who contributed 58 runs, helping New Zealand chase down South Africa’s total in just 12.5 overs.
South Africa, who had been the only unbeaten team in the tournament prior to this match, managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after being put into bat. Marco Jansen was the standout performer for South Africa, scoring 55 not out.

The final of the T20 Cricket World Cup is scheduled for Sunday, where New Zealand will face the winner of the second semifinal between India and England. New Zealand had advanced to the semifinals based on net run rate, making their victory even more significant.
