Tmz: Taylor Frankie Paul Assault Incident: Shocking Video Released by

On March 20, 2026
tmz — GB news

In a shocking development, a video has emerged showing reality star Taylor Frankie Paul attacking her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen in front of her young daughter. The incident, which took place after a girls’ night where Paul had consumed alcohol, has raised serious concerns about the safety of the children involved.

The video was published by TMZ on March 19, 2026, leading to immediate fallout. Just hours later, ABC announced the cancellation of Paul’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’, originally set to premiere on March 22, 2026. A spokesperson for Disney Entertainment Television stated, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”

This incident is not the first time Paul has faced legal issues. In 2023, she was charged with assault, criminal mischief, and domestic violence in the presence of a child after Mortensen called the police, claiming she had hit him in front of their children. Paul later pleaded guilty in abeyance to an aggravated assault charge in August 2025.

Reports indicate that during the altercation captured in the video, Paul’s daughter, who is just eight years old, was reportedly struck in the head. The Utah Division of Children and Family Services is currently investigating ongoing allegations of violence between Paul and Mortensen, and both parties have been ordered to undergo psychological evaluations.

Mortensen has since filed for a protective order against Paul, further complicating the already tense situation. He described the incident as “physical abuse,” highlighting the severity of the confrontation.

In response to the video release, Paul’s spokesperson claimed it was a manipulation tactic by Mortensen, stating, “It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child.” Paul herself has asserted, “I will have my truth,” indicating her intention to defend her actions.

As the investigation continues, the implications of this incident extend beyond the immediate family, affecting the production of the show and raising questions about the future of both individuals involved. Details remain unconfirmed as authorities work to piece together the events surrounding this troubling incident.
